The Aminu Umar Residence in London was one of the outstanding projects that turned a gloomy, fragmented house into a warm and well-decorated home. To achieve a home that can be unique and meaningful to the culture, the design incorporated the modern style with some features of the Nigerian heritage, such as custom artwork, textures, and furnishings.
Rachana Gupta, Director of Oraanj Interior Design, said, “When Alhaji Umar described his home as his ‘sanctuary,’ we knew we had created something truly meaningful. Design is about people, their stories, and their connection to a space.” She also noted that the award honors the entire team’s creativity and hard work. “It shows that design is meant to enhance lives and build spaces that reflect people and their cultures,” Gupta said.
