Background:
British designer Matthew Williamson and Swedish interior brand Dusty Deco have teamed up to create a colorful, playful home collection, coinciding with the opening of Dusty Deco’s new flagship store in Stockholm.
The collaboration was born on the sun-drenched island of Mallorca, where Williamson resides, and where a shared passion for eclectic, layered design sparked a creative friendship. The collection includes richly textured blankets, Stargazer and Wildcat, as well as Dusty Deco’s iconic Lola Sofa and V Daybed, upholstered in Williamson’s signature fabric, Beaten Track, in striking Green and Peach iterations.
Williamson, whose nearly three-decade-long career spans fashion and interiors, has long been celebrated for his fearless use of color and pattern. Williamson, known for bold and colorful designs since 1997, now brings the same style to furniture and home items in his book Living Bright.
The founders of Dusty Deco, Edin and Lina Kjellvertz, who started their brand in 2011, inspired by vintage collecting and a love for unique interiors, expressed excitement about the partnership. “Matthew moves with such a naturalness in color and pattern, something we have long admired,” said Edin. “This collection brings together our shared love of contrasts and materiality, resulting in something truly expressive yet authentic to both of us.”
The collaboration reflects a thoughtful balance: pieces are designed to feel 50% Williamson, 50% Dusty Deco, merging bold colors with Dusty Deco’s signature neutral and textured palette. The collection is now available, opening a new chapter for both brands in home decor.
