Sean Perkins and Farrah Logan were announced as the winners of the annual contest, organised by the City of Hermiston in partnership with the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce. The recognition came as a pleasant surprise for the couple, who have spent years building their festive setup piece by piece.
Their front yard features multiple Christmas trees lit with programmable smart lights that shift colours and patterns at the touch of a button. The garage is decorated with bright holiday images, and a cheerful snowman stands near the entrance to greet visitors. Over time, the couple estimates they have invested nearly $5,000 in decorations. One of the standout features is a large pine tree in the front yard, which receives more light as it grows taller each season.
The responsibilities are clearly divided. Perkins focuses on the outdoor setup, while Logan takes charge of decorating the inside of their home. Both say the holiday season has always held special meaning for them.
